Scott Morency, Waterville resident, is proud to announce the release of What a CEO Can Learn From a 4th Grader at a special release party, open to the public, at the Midnight Blues Club in Waterville on Sunday, August 31, 2008 at 1:00 PM.
The new book focuses on interpersonal skill development and teambuilding through the eyes of ten year-olds.The book is inspired by Scott’s developing of the 2+2=5 teambuilding program. Scott has spent the last six years teaching the 2+2=5 teambuilding program to 4th and 5th grade children across the country.
2+2=5 is a curriculum based program that utilizes teambuilding activities to teach skills such as leadership, communication, emotional intelligence, trust, problem solving, and diversity. “When I first started the program, I thought I’d be teaching the children about all of these important skills. As it turned out, the kids taught me as much as I ever taught them,” said Scott. Over this time, Scott’s experiences with the 2+2=5 program have been collected and are being shared for the first time in What a CEO Can Learn From a 4th Grader. The book includes stories of children learning, developing, and inspiring through the 2+2=5 program as well as their insight on interpersonal skill development. In addition, the book includes several of the teambuilding activities in the 2+2=5 program.
